29 May 2022 :Budget 2079/ 80: Nepal Government Employees Salary Increased by 15 pc
The government has announced a 15 percent increase in the salaries of all government employees including government employees, teachers, and security personnel through the budget statement for the Fiscal Year 2079/80.The Government decided to increase salaries of all government employees by 15% starting Mid-July (1 Shrawan 2079)

Highlights:
> Salaries of government employees increased by 15 percent. (Note: Rs. 2000 dearness allowance will be added.)
> Salary of employees of different levels has been increased from at least Rs. 3520 to Rs. 10260.
> Salary of teachers, army and police will also increase. This will also increase the income of pensioners.
> The increased salary will be applicable for civil servants as well as police, army, teachers, and professors.

> The salary of the second tier has increased by about Rs 3700 to Rs 28,355.
> The salary of the third tier employees has also increased by around Rs. 3900 to close to Rs. 30,000.
> The current monthly salary of the fourth level employees has been increased by about Rs. 4200 and that of the fifth level employees by about Rs. 4600.
> The salary of Gazette Anankit employees has been increased from a minimum of Rs 4560 to a maximum of Rs 4920.
> The monthly salary of government employees has risen from at least Rs 26,990 to Rs 78,667. Apart from this, they will also get an additional monthly allowance of Rs 2000.
> The monthly salary of the secretary will reach Rs 56,582 while the monthly salary of the special secretary will be Rs 66,652. Similarly, the Chief Secretary has reached Rs 70,406.

Govt approves new pay scale of employees: 9 August 2021
Aug. 9: The government has approved the new salary scale of the government employees beginning this fiscal year (July 16, 2021).

A meeting of the Council of Ministers held on 9 August 2021 took the decision to approve the new salary scale of all civil servants, Nepal Army, Nepal Police, Armed Police Force, Nepal personnel, employees under the Nepal Health Service, Parliament Service, community schoolteachers and the employees of the province and local levels.

Salary Scale: 2078/79 : 30 May 2021
Presenting the budget estimates for the fiscal year 2078/79, Finance Minister Bishnu Poudel announced an increment of the salary of civil servants to be effective from the new fiscal year i.e. 16 July 2021.

The government has increased the salary of government employees by Rs 2,000.The increment, Finance Minister Bishnu Poudel said, is expected to boost the morale of the civil servants and strengthen their professional integrity and thereby lead to effective public service delivery.

Moreover, the government has increased social security allowance by 33 per cent and raised the monthly allowance for senior citizens by Rs 1,000 to Rs 4,000.

Salary Scale: 2076/2077 : 4 August 2019
Ministry of Finance has published the new salary scale of all government officials (civil servants)  2076/2077. Presenting the budget estimates for the fiscal year 2019/20, Finance Minister Yuvaraj Khatiwada announced an increment by 20 per cent in the basic salary of the non-gazetted and 18 per cent in the basic salary of the gazetted civil servants.

The increment covers government employees, security persons, teachers and state-owned corporation staffers.It was during the premiership of current Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli in 2073 BS that salary of the civil servants had last been increased.

The increment is expected to boost the morale of the civil servants and strengthen their professional integrity and thereby lead to effective public service delivery.The government has increased the salary of civil servants after a span of three years.
