Salary of Civil Servants/ Government officials/ Nijamati Karmachari of Nepal 2083-84 BS (2026-27 AD)
The Government of Nepal has announced a new salary scale for civil servants (government officials) including Public Sector Employees (Nijamati Karmachari ), Officials in Province and Local Levels, Healthcare Employees/ Workers,  Community School Teachers, Officials in Parliament services and  Officials in Nepal Army, Nepal Police and Armed Patrol Force (APF) Nepal, increasing overall monthly remuneration by around 21%, to be effective from Shrawan 1, 2083 (July 17, 2026).

The basic salary increases by 10%, while an additional 10% monthly incentive and the existing Rs. 5,000 dearness allowance together raise the overall monthly remuneration by around 21%. The new structure is intended to address inflationary pressure and improve morale in the public sector.

The government has approved the new salary scale on the Ministry of Finance's proposal for civil servants in accordance with the increased salary through the budget for the current fiscal year 2083/84.  The Ministry has already directed all bodies to make payments according to the new salary scale.
