Nepal Telecommunications Authority, also known as Nepal Doorsanchar Company Limited (NT) is the largest and the oldest telecom operator in the country.

The company was formally established as a fully owned government corporation called Nepal Telecommunications Corporation in 1975 for the purpose of providing telecommunications services to Nepali people. After 29 years, Nepal Telecommunication Corporation was transformed into Nepal Doorsanchar Company Limited (popularly known as NTC) and is a company  registered under the Companies Act, 1996. It provides all types of telecommunication services from  fixed line (PSTN and WLL), mobile (GSM and GDMA), Limited Mobility Services (LMS), to Global Mobile Personal Communication by Satellite (GMPCS).
