KATHMANDU: Prime Minister and University Chancellor Balendra Shah (Balen) has appointed rectors and registrars at universities, including Tribhuvan University (TU), on the recommendation of the respective vice-chancellors.

The newly appointed Rector and Registrar took the oath of office and secrecy at a program organized at the Ministry of Education and Sports today. At the swearing-in ceremony, Minister for Education and Sports Sasmit Pokharel directed the newly appointed office bearers to work with a spirit of teamwork and effective coordination for university reforms and all-round development.

- Pokhara University: Prof. Nirmala Jamarkattel (Registrar)
- Purbanchal University: Prof. Panna Thapa (Registrar)
- Rajarshi Janak University: Jeevan Kafle (Registrar)
- Sudurpaschim University: Prof. Tara Datta Bhatta (Registrar)
- Mid-West University: Associate Professor Sudip Thakuri (Registrar)
