October 29, 2025:Tribhuvan University, Institute of Science and Technology publishes BSc CSIT Online Entrance Form Deadline Extension Notice 2082/2083
Tribhuvan University, Institute of Science and Technology, has published notice regarding deadline extension for submitting the online entrance examination application form for admission to the BSc CSIT program for the academic year 2082.  Students are notified to submit their applications within the extended period as per the following details:

Extended Deadline:
- Application Form Submission Deadline with double fee: Kartik 18, 2082 (November 04, 2025)
- Entrance Examination Center: will be published later

Note: Candidates who have appeared for up to two subjects as Non-Graded (NG) in Grade 12 are also eligible to fill out the entrance examination form.

27 August 2025 : TU BSc CSIT Entrance Form Fill Up Deadline Extension Notice 2082:
Tribhuvan University, Institute of Science and Technology, Dean's Office, Balkhu, has published deadline extension notice for entrance exam application form fill-up for BSc Computer Science and Information Technology (BSc CSIT) for the 2082 session.

Key Details ( as per new notice) :
- The Online application form will open from 2082/04/12, 10 AM onwards
- Form Fee: Rs. 1,950
- Application form submission deadline with normal fee: 2082/05/18
- Application form submission deadline with normal fee: 2082/05/19 to 2082/05/24
- Entrance Exam: Bhadra 28, 2082 (September 13, 2025) (Saturday)
- Entrance exam time: 8:00 am to 10:00 am
- Entrance Exam Centre: to be published later

Tribhuvan University, Institute of Science and Technology, Dean's Office, Balkhu, announces notice regarding application form fill up for entrance examination for BSc Computer Science and Information Technology (BSc CSIT) for the 2082 session.

About BSc. CSIT
Bachelor of Science in Computer Science and Information Technology (BScCSIT) is a four-year course offered by Tribhuvan University that aims to provide students with a broad range of knowledge in the fields of information technology and computing.  The program is designed to equip students with a strong foundation in computing principles and technology. Graduates with a BSc CSIT degree are in high demand across industries, ranging from software development and IT consulting to data analysis, cybersecurity, artificial intelligence, and more.

BSc CSIT Entrance Exam
The BSc CSIT Entrance Exam is a national-level examination conducted by Tribhuvan University, Institute of Science and Technology (TU IOST) for students wishing to study Computer Science and Information Technology (CSIT) at the undergraduate level.

Eligibility criteria.
1. Should have successfully completed 12 years of schooling in the science stream or equivalent from any university, board or institution recognized by TU by taking Physics and Mathematics of 100 marks each.
2. Should have secured a minimum of second division in their +2 or equivalent OR should have secured at least C in all subjects in Grade 11 and Grade 12  by taking Physics and Mathematics of 100 marks each.
OR
- Should have passed A level in Science (have studied Physics and Mathematics of 100 marks) and passed at least in D Grade (With or Without Small Letter)
OR
3. Should have passed 3 Years Diploma in Engineering program from CTEVT in second division taking both Physics and Mathematics of 100 marks each.

Student should submit the equivalent certificate obtained from the Curriculum Development Center, Sano Thimi, Bhaktapur, if the  educational qualification has obtained from foreign institutions or universities.

(Note: Both Biology and Mathematics group of students of +2 level are eligible to apply for the course)

BSc Entrance Examination Syllabus
The entrance exam for the BSc CSIT will have a score of 100. It will consist of Objective questions with a total of 100 marks, based on the curriculum of I.Sc./Grade 11 and 12 or equivalent, including 25 marks for Mathematics, 25 marks for Physics, 25 marks for Chemistry, 15 marks for English, and 10 marks for Computer-related knowledge.

Objective/Multiple Choice questions will be included in the following subjects based on the curriculum: Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry, English, and Computer Science.

Overview:
- Full Marks: 100
- Pass Marks: 35
- Question Type: Objective
- Duration:2 hours
- Exam Duration: 2 hours.
- Pass Mark :Candidates must obtain at least 35% of the total marks.
- In case of a tie in the examination results, a merit list will be prepared based on the marks obtained in the Mathematics subject. If the marks are still equal, the marks obtained in Physics, Chemistry, English, and Computer-related knowledge subjects will be considered successively. In the event of equal marks across all subjects, the lower academic level will be given priority. These marks obtained will not be published based on these criteria.
