Okhaldhunga: Most schools in Okhaldhunga district are closed despite the start of the student enrollment, retention, continuity and outcome improvement in school programme since April 14.

Although the student enrollment campaign has commenced throughout the country, it has not got off in Okhaldhunga district as most schools here are closed after many teachers and the top education officials are on leave.

The school enrollment campaign and the literacy campaign have been stalled due to the closure of the schools and the absenteeism of teachers and the district education officials, according to the local guardians.

The government has issued guidelines for the school enrollment campaign with the objective of enrolling children of school-going-age who are still out of school due to various reasons. The month-long campaign is on throughout the country.
