Kathmandu University to honour culture expert Joshi
Kathmandu University has decided to confer honourary doctorate on culture expert Shatya Mohan Joshi. KU’s 55th meeting held under the chairmanship of Education Minister and Co-chancellor of the university Gangalal Tuladhar on Sunday took a decision to this effect.
Vice-chancellor of the University Sureshraj Sharma said that they decided to confer the honorary title on Joshi for his contribution to folk music and culture. Sharma added that they will confer the title on Joshi amid a programme soon. Joshi has contributed to the promotion of folk music and culture. He has been honoured with awards including 'Tribhuvan Pragya Puraskar', 'Madan Puraskar' and 'Adikabi Bhanu Bhakta Puraskar'.
