The annual exam schedules of grade 11 and 12 have been affected due to recent earthquake in the country. Earlier, the exam of grade 12 that had been scheduled from May 3, but it was postponed following the massive 7.6 magnitude earthquake that struck the country on April 25.Likewise, the exam of grade 11 that was planned from upcoming May 15 had to be cancelled for the same reason.

The Higher Secondary Education Board ( HSEB) was likely to announce the reschedule of the exams. But a major aftershock measuring 6.8 on the Richter scale threw normal life out of gear and the HSEB is too confused on declaring the fresh exam schedule.The Board will decide the new schedule for the exams only after going through a monitoring of schools damaged by the Tuesday's quake, said Board Deputy Controller Jayanti Satyal. The new schedule is likely to be published within mid July.

The Ministry of Education has decided to close down all the schools in the districts mostly affected by the earthquake till May 29.
