The CPN-UML aligned All Nepal National Free Student Union (ANNFSU) has said that the implementation of semester system in masters level in the Tribhuvan University (TU) was unacceptable.

At a news conference organized by the ANNFSU in Dhulikhel on Tuesday to announce the decisions of its recently held central committee meeting, Chairman Kishor Bikram Malla claimed that the TU was planning to charge a huge amount of money to the students in the name of semester system.

"Education of TU should be made accessible and qualitative. We are not in favor of semester system. The fresh step of TU is an intrigue to charge money to students," Malla said.

Likewise, the ANNFSU has also asked the stakeholders to fully implement the practice of 45 per cent discount in fare in public vehicles.
