Purbanchal University (PU) is a public university in Biratnagar, the economic centre of Nepal. It was established in 1993 by the government of Nepal. Its prime role was outlined to act as a catalytic agent for the promotion of socio-economic transformation in Nepal through quality education appropriate for quality life and sustainable future.

VACANCY NOTICE
Purbanchal University, Office of the Service Commission, Gothgaun, Morang invites application from eligible candidates for for Academic Positions (Professor, Associate Professor, and Assistant Professor). These vacant positions are to be fulfilled by  Internal and Open/Inclusive Competitive Examinations.

Position: Professor, Associate Professor, and Assistant Professor

- Competition Type:Internal, Open and Inclusive

 Application Fee:
- For open/inclusive competition: Professor - NPR 5,000, Associate Professor - NPR 4,500.
- For internal competition: Associate Professor - NPR 3,500.

Age Limit for Open/Inclusive Competition:
Candidates for Professor and Associate Professor positions should not exceed 50 years of age. However, this rule does not apply to candidates who have already entered permanent, contract, or temporary service at the university within the specified age limit and are currently working.
