Position: Executive - Finance
Job Description
The Finance Executive will be responsible for handling daily accounting activities, managing general ledger functions, supporting internal and Statutory audits, and ensuring timely compliance with financial regulations. The role requires strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to coordinate with a cross-functional team.
Business Responsibility Areas
- Monthly Financial Closing: Oversee and execute month-end closing activities, including provisions, prepaid expenses, depreciation postings, and balance sheet reconciliations.
- General Ledger Management: Review and monitor journal entries, expense allocations, and cost centre accuracy to ensure compliance with accounting standards.
- Balance Sheet Scrutiny: Conduct regular reviews of balance sheet accounts and production orders/batch costing to ensure accuracy and completeness.
- Internal Audit Coordination: Assist in internal audits and provide necessary documentation as required.
- Regulatory Reporting: Prepare and submit annual reports to government and other regulatory institutions.
- Inventory and Fixed Assets Verification: Coordinate quarterly inventory checks and annual physical verification of fixed assets.
- Accounts Payable Oversight: Manage sundry deposit accounting, adjustments, and ensure timely issuance of WHT certificates to vendors.
- Fixed Assets Management: Handle capitalization, monitor Capex budget utilization, and review Capital Work in Progress (CWIP) regularly.
- Tax Compliance: Prepare and file monthly/quarterly indirect tax returns (e.g., Excise) and ensure timely deposit of taxes to the government treasury.
- Financial MIS Preparation: Generate fixed assets and other internal reports for management review.
- Process Improvement: Identify and implement improvements in accounting processes to enhance efficiency and accuracy.
- Cross-functional Collaboration: Work closely with other functions to ensure accurate financial data and resolve discrepancies.
