United College Book Release Ceremony

United Luminary’ Vol. II and United Journal of Interdisciplinary Studies (UJIIS) Vol. I Releasing Ceremony at United College
On Monday, November 18, 2024, United College hosted a significant Book Release Program that brought together esteemed dignitaries, renowned academicians, and students for a morning of intellectual engagement and celebration.

The event was graced by the presence of Chief Guest Prof. Dr. Kedar Rijal (Registrar of Tribhuvan University), along with special guests Prof. Dr. Chitra Budhahoki (Dean, Faculty of Education, TU) and Prof. Dr. Kushum Shakya (Former Dean, Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences, TU).

The highlight of the event was the formal release of the second volume of ‘United Luminary’ and UJIIS Volume I by the distinguished academic leaders of the United Academy Group: Mr. Drip Chamling, Mr. Nara Hang Rai, Dr. Kabi Raj Bantawa, and Ms. Dipa Chamling including teachers and students. The book’s release symbolized a remarkable milestone for United College, further reinforcing its commitment to fostering academic excellence and thought leadership.

The program featured an engaging series of reviews and insights from respected scholars and contributors. Ms. Ritika Shakya, a BBM 8th Semester student, opened the discussion with an inspiring review of the publication. She was followed by Asst. Prof. Baburam Timsina, Tribhuvan University, lauded the advancements in Volume II of ‘United Luminary’ by comparing it with Volume I and emphasizing its alignment with current academic standards.

Dr. Dasharath Neupane, Head of the Nepal Philosophical Research Centre, also shared his profound thoughts on the philosophical dimensions and scholarly depth presented in the journal, underscoring its relevance to academia and society.

Key guest speakers took the stage, delivering compelling speeches that highlighted the journal’s significance and its impact on the academic community. They also commended United College for its dedication to nurturing a culture of research and innovation.

The program concluded with a heartfelt vote of thanks from Dr. Lal Rapacha, Campus Chief of United College, who expressed gratitude to all stakeholders for their invaluable contributions to the journal, magazine, and event’s success.

This event not only marked the successful launch of ‘United Luminary’ Volume II  and ‘UJIIS’ Volume I but also reinforced United College’s role as a hub for academic and intellectual growth, setting a benchmark for future academic initiatives.
