Admission Open for Undergraduate Programs at Kathmandu University, School of Science and School of Engineering

Candidates are required to appear in the Kathmandu University Common Admission Test (KUCAT), in either PCM or PCB, according to their choice of academic program. The Entrance Exam will be conducted in the mode of Computer Based Test (CBT).

> BE (Electrical and Electronics Engineering)
- Communication
- Power & Control
> BE (Mechanical Engineering)
- Automobile
- Design & Manufacturing
- Energy Technology
- Hydropower
> BE (Civil Engineering with specialization in Hydropower)
> BE (Chemical Engineering)
> BTech (Environmental Engineering)

Who can Apply?
- Must have taken PCM (Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics) in both XI and XII (or equivalent)
- Minimum grade of C individually in each course.
OR,
- If the student has been evaluated in percentage system, minimum 50% in aggregate of PCM and minimum 50% in total aggregate.

> BE (Computer Engineering)
> BE (Geomatics Engineering)
> BSc (Computer Science)
> BArch (Architecture)
> BSc (Computational Mathematics)
> BTech (AI)

Who can Apply?
- Must have taken PCM (Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics) or PMCs (Physics, Mathematics and Computer Science) in both XI and XII (or equivalent)
- Minimum grade of C individually in each course.
OR
If the student has been evaluated in percentage system, minimum 50% in aggregate of PCM or PMCs and minimum 50% in total aggregate.

Program and Specialization
- BTech (Biotechnology)
- BSc (Environmental Science)

Who can Apply?
- Must have taken PCM (Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics) or PCB (Physics, Chemistry and Biology) in both XI and XII (or equivalent)
- Minimum grade of C individually in each course.
OR
If the student has been evaluated in percentage system, minimum 50% in aggregate of PCM or PCB and minimum 50% in total aggregate.

Program and Specialization
> BSc (Agriculture)

Who can Apply?
- Must have taken PCB (Physics, Chemistry and Biology) in both XI and XII (or equivalent)
- Minimum grade of C individually in each course.
OR
- If the student has been evaluated in percentage system, minimum 50% in aggregate of PCB and minimum 50% in total aggregate.

Online registration starts from 26 September, 2021 and ends on 30 October, 2021

Application processing fee of NRs 1500/- is to be deposited through Bank and digital wallet

Students who have passed all courses of grade 11 and have appeared/applied for the final exams of grade 12 and are awaiting for Grade 12 results can also apply on a provisional basis.

Please note that, under present circumstances of COVID 19 pandemic, there may be changes in schedules, deadlines, mode of entrance and evaluation schemes. Changes will be timely notified through the University website and application portal.
