Kathmandu University,School of Engineering, invites applications for admission in the Undergraduate Programs for the academic year 2025.

Candidates are required to appear in the Kathmandu University Common Admission Test (KUCAT), in either PCM (Physics, Chemistry, Maths) or PCB (Physics, Chemistry, Biology), according to their choice of academic program. The Entrance Exam will be conducted in the mode of Computer Based Test (CBT).

Eligibility Criteria and CBT Test Group For Admission
> Applicants must have completed 10+2 or equivalent with:
-- Minimum GPA of 2.0 or 50% aggregate marks or equivalent
-- A-Level: Minimum 3 A-level subjects and 1 AS-level with PCB (Physics, Chemistry, Biology), PCM (Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics), or PMCs (Physics, Mathematics, Computer Science) combination. Whenever percentage uniform mark (PUM) criteria are provided, then, aggregate 50% in percentage scale will be applicable. If PUM is not provided, Grade D in PCB/PCM/PMCs will be applicable
-- IB Diploma: Minimum 6 subjects with PCB (Physics, Chemistry, Biology), PCM (Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics), or PMCs (Physics, Mathematics, Computer Science) combination. Students must have a final IB grade of 3 in each course separately
-- CTEVT Diploma Holders: Eligible for related disciplines, subject to equivalent percentage criteria.
-- Foreign Boards:Must present equivalence from the KU authority at admission
> Applicants must appear in the Kathmandu University Common Admission Test (KUCAT) Computer-Based Test (CBT 2025) (except for Bachelor in Health Informatics) in either PCM (Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics) or PCB (Physics, Chemistry, Biology) test group
> Students from the Biology stream must have taken and passed Additional Mathematics for PCM test eligibility.
> Candidates awaiting Grade 12 results may apply for provisional admission, subject to meeting requirements

- Must have passed with subjects PCM (Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics) or PMCs (Physics, Mathematics and Computer Science) in both XI and XII (or equivalent)
- Students from the Biology stream must have taken and passed Additional Mathematics for PCM test eligibility.

3. Program and Subject Area:
-  Bachelor in Health Informatics

Who can Apply?
+2 Science or equivalent or three years in Diploma in Engineering, Science, Technology and Health Sciences (Nursing, Health Assistant, Pharmacy, Lab Technology)

Entrance Exam Type: No need to appear in the KUCAT-CBT. Consult with the Department of Health Informatics (https://dohi.ku.edu.np) for admission procedure.

* Candidates applying for BE in Geomatics Engineering scholarships need to fill up a separate form for scholarship after the publication of "CBT rank-based list"
** Candidates applying for Bachelor of Architecture must pass the aptitude test conducted after the CBT rank-based list publication.
***  Bachelor of Information Technologyprogram will run in Aspire College, Biratnagar.

Entrance Examination
All applicants (except for Bachelor's in Health Informatics and Bachelor's in Heritage Conservation) must appear in the Kathmandu University Common Admission Test (KUCAT) Computer-Based Test (CBT 2025).

Provisional Admission
Candidates awaiting Grade 12 results may apply for provisional admission, subject to meeting the above eligibility requirements once results are published.
