Applications for Post Graduate MD/MS programs (Academic year 2018)

Applications are invited for the following MD/MS programs of Kathmandu University from eligible candidates.

A. MD / MS (Clinical Sciences including Pathology)
> Anaesthesiology

> Internal Medicine
> Obstetrics & Gynaecology
> Ophthalmology
> Orthopaedics
> Oto- rhinolaryngology
> Paediatrics
> Psychiatry
> Radio Diagnosis


Eligibility Criteria
> MBBS or equivalent degree in modern medicine from an institution recognized by Kathmandu University and One year of clinical experience after obtaining MBBS degree by 12 June, 2017.
> Registration with Nepal Medical Council

B. MD / MS (Basic Medical Sciences including Forensic Medicine)
> Anatomy
> Biochemistry
> Community Medicine
> Forensic Medicine
> Microbiology
> Pharmacology
> Physiology

Eligibility Criteria
> MBBS or equivalent degree in modern medicine from an institution recognised by Kathmandu University.
> For the subject of Anatomy, Biochemistry, Microbiology, Pharmacology and Physiology, candidates who have completed Bridge course after BDS can apply
> Registration with Nepal Medical Council.

Selection criteria: The selection of the candidates will be done on the basis of entrance examination and counselling (As per KU norms and standards).


Application Form, Submission Process and Deadline

The applicants must fill up and submit online application form from www.kusms.edu.np with a copy of bank voucher of Nepal Investment Bank worth NRs. 5000/ each form (non-refundable), deposited in the name of KUSMS Account Number 00505030017934 on or before 4 pm, 3 May 2018. Deposit can be made through any branches of Nepal Investment Bank.

Candidates who have submitted online application forms will get Admit Card with Applicant Id which must be printed and brought for Biometrics verification and to enter in the examination hall.

Date, Time and Venue for Biometrics Verification: Candidates submitting online application forms must present for compulsory biometrics verification as follows:

- 7-8 May 2018: (Candidates who have submitted online application form after 31 April, 2018

Time: 10 AM to 3 PM

Venue: Basic Medical Sciences, KUSMS, Chaukot, Kavre.

Entrance test result will be published at www.kusms.edu.np or http://www.dhulikhelhospital.org/

Date of counselling will be notified at the time of entrance test result.

This Examination will be valid for the Academic Year 2018 only.
1. Candidates are instructed to read their eligibility criteria before depositing the bank voucher and submission of online application.
2. Candidate submitting wrong information in their online application form will not be allowed to enter counseling session even though the candidate may have passed, the Entrance Examination. Such candidate's entrance examination will be automatically cancelled if it does not meet the requirements of the University.

Programs are conducted in different institutions under Kathmandu University. Total fee for the program is NRs. 22,50,000 for Clinical Sciences and NRs. 10,03,000 ' Basic Sciences.
