The establishment of Purbanchal University in 1993 was visualized as an extraordinary endeavour by the Government of Nepal to create an academic centre of excellence in the Eastern Development Region of Nepal. Its prime role was outlined to act as a catalytic agent for the promotion of socio-economic transformation in Nepal through quality education appropriate for quality life and sustainable future.

Purbanchal University 14th Convocation Form Fill Up Notice: updates on 25 January 2026, previous: 29 December 2025
 Purbanchal University, Gothgaun, Morang, has published notice regarding application form fill-up for the its 14th convocation ceremony. Eligible students are encouraged to apply for participation, as the application form is now available.

Eligibility for Convocation Ceremony :
Students who enrolled and graduated from MPhil, Postgraduate, and Graduate programs between January 1, 2025 (Poush 17, 2081) and December 31, 2025 (Poush 16, 2082) are eligible to apply and attend the convocation ceremony.

Application form Fee
- M.Phil: NRP: 7, 500 (Application form fee NRP: 5,000 and deposit for gown NPR: 2,500)
- Masters: NPR 5,500 (Application form fee NRP: 3,000 and deposit for gown NPR: 2,500)
- Bachelors: NPR: 5,000 (Application form fee NRP: 2,500 and deposit for gown NPR: 2,500)

Extended Application Form Submission Deadline: Magh 20, 2082 (February 3, 2026).
