About Grade 8 Basic Level Examination (BLE)
In Nepal, eighth-grade students take the Basic Level Examination, often known as the BLE, at the metro/municipality level. In Nepal, the Grade 8 Basic Level Examination (BLE) is a district-by-district national exam. To advance to the ninth grade, all Nepalese students in the eighth grade must take this nationwide exam. The District Education Offices around the nation oversee the administration of the test. Every year, during the last month of the Nepali calendar, Chaitra, this exam is administered.

The Class 8 (BLE) result has been published through the Integrated Education Management Information System (IEMIS) of the respective schools.

Examination Conduct and Coordination Committee, chaired by the Deputy Mayor of Lalitpur Metropolitan City, decided to publish result on Chaitra 25, 2082 ( 8 April 2026).

As per committee's decision, students who have received Not Graded (NG) in up to three subjects will have their examinations conducted by their respective schools on Chaitra 28 and 29, 2082. All answer sheets, along with the mark slip of every student, must be submitted to the Education Department by Chaitra 30, 2082 (13 April 2026).
