Course Description:

Tribhuvan University, faculty of Management, Central Department of Public Administration, Public Administration Campus, Jamal introduces  Bachelor of Public Administration (BPA)  course in Nepal from the academic year 2070-71. BPA program is offered by Public Adminsitration Campus (PAC). It is a 4-year, 8-semester program and offered at Public Administration campus building at Kathmandu. The BPA program is oriented towards the civil service system of Nepal.

The objective of the Bachelor of Public Administration (BPA) is designed to enable graduates for the success in multitude of employment positions in public, private and the NGO sectors.

Public administration course is multidimensional and the employment opportunities are also high. Whether it is the government or non-government sector, there is always a need for administrator and this creates a diverse scope for students where they can work in the managerial level.

Admission info

ELIGIBILITY
> Minimum D grade in each subject of grade 11 and 12 with CGPA 1.8 or more
Or
> A minimum score of second division marks in 10+2, PCL, or Equivalent in any discipline.
Or
> Students who are waiting for upgrading their results can also apply. However, they have to submit passed certificate of grades 11 and 12 at the time of admission.

Eligible applicants are required to appear in the entrance test commonly known as the Central Management Admission Test (CMAT) conducted by the Faculty of Management. The test will follow the international testing pattern and standards. It includes the areas like:
> Verbal ability
> Quantitative ability
> Logical reasoning
> General awareness



Syllabus

BPA program’s course cycle completes in eight semesters (four years). The total weightage of the program has 120 credits covering Administrative Sciences with 87 credits, Specialization 18 credits, Computer Application 9 credits, and the Internship and Report Writing 6 credits as given below. Each semester will be 15 credits and each subject will be 3 credit hours except the report writing one.
