VACANCY NOTICE
Gurkhas Finance Limited a National Level Finance Company invites applications from self-motivated & result oriented Nepalese citizens for the following positions

1. Position: Chief Credit Officer
- Level: Managerial
- No. of Vacancy: 1

Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and oversee the institution’s credit appraisal and credit risk management functions
- Review and evaluate credit proposals to ensure compliance with the Company’s Credit Policy and NRB Directives
- Conduct financial, business, industry, and risk analysis to assess borrowers’ creditworthiness
- Ensure quality, consistency, and timely processing of credit appraisal reports
- Coordinate with Business Units, Risk Management, Legal, Compliance, Credit Administration, and Recovery Departments
- Contribute to the review and enhancement of credit policies, procedures, and risk management practicers

Qualification:
- Master’s Degree in Management, Finance, Banking, Accounting, or a related discipline (Bachelor’s degree with exceptional experience may also be considered)

Experience:
- Minimum 10 years of banking experience in credit/lending operations in a BFI, including at least 5 years in a managerial or supervisory role
- Strong leadership, analytical decision-making, and report-writing skills

2. Position: Head -Legal Department
- Level: Managerial
- No. of Vacancy: 1

Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and oversee all legal functions of the Institution
- Provide legal advice to the Board of Directors, Management, and various departments
- Draft, review, and negotiate legal documents, contracts, agreements, policies, and Board resolutions
- Represent the institution before courts, regulatory authorities, and government agencies
- Handle and coordinate Debt Recovery Tribunal (DRT) related matters, including preparation and filing of recovery cases, coordinate with legal counsels, representation/follow-up before DRT, monitoring case progress, and ensuring timely legal actions for recovery of defaulted loans
- Identify legal and regulatory risks and recommend appropriate mitigation measures
- Strengthen the institution’s legal governance framework and support policy formulation

Qualification & Experience:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Law (LL.B.); LL.M. preferred.
- Advocate License from the Nepal Bar Council will be an added advantage

Experience:
- Minimum 8 years of relevant experience in banking, financial institutions, or corporate legal practice, including at least 2 years in a department handling role
- Through knowledge of banking laws, corporate laws, loan documentation, recovery procedures, and regulatory compliance

3. Position: Branch Manager
- No. of Vacancy: Few
- Location: inside and Outside Valley
- Level: up to Officer

Key Responsibilities:
- Manage overall branch operations, business activities, customer service, and administrative functions
- Achieve assigned branch targets related to deposits, lending, revenue generation, and profitability
- Promote company products and services and identify new business opportunities
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with customers, business communities, and stakeholders

Qualification:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Management, Finance, or Banking (Master’s Degree is an added advantage)

Experience:
- Minimum 5 years of relevant experience in Banks and Financial Institutions (BFIs), preferably with exposure to branch operations, credit, and business development
- Good communication, leadership, customer handling, and analytical skills
