Position: Gold Tester

Job Summary:
The Gold Tester will be responsible for assessing the quality and authenticity of gold items, ensuring accuracy and compliance with the Bank's or organization's standards and procedures. This role requires precision, attention to detail, and expertise in testing techniques and tools.

Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct tests to determine the purity, weight, and authenticity of gold and other precious metals.
- Use appropriate testing equipment such as acid tests, electronic gold testers, and XRF machines.
- Maintain accurate records of test results and prepare required reports.
- Ensure compliance with organizational standards and regulatory guidelines during all testing procedures.
- Safeguard and maintain the integrity of gold items during testing.
- Provide expert advice on gold quality and valuations to stakeholders.
- Identify and report counterfeit or substandard gold items.

Required Job Knowledge Competencies:
- Conduct tests to determine the purity, weight, and authenticity of gold and other precious metals.

- Good understanding of safety measures and proper handling procedures.
- Proficiency in record keeping and report preparation.
- Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
- Strong ethical standards and trustworthiness.

Prerequisites for applying:
- Minimum Education Qualification - SEE/SLC.
- Age minimum 25 years as of 8th July 2026.
- Candidates must have at least two years of work experience in a related field.
- Candidates must be proficient in handling PC.

OTHER ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA
- In case of any educational qualification from foreign Universities /institutions, equivalence certificate from competent authority of Nepal is must.
- Candidate applying for any above position must be willing to work anywhere in Nepal as per the Bank's requirement.

All candidates must be proficient in written/spoken Nepali and English language and be computer literate with working knowledge of MS Office applications. Candidates are expected to have smart and pleasant personality, be articulate with superior interpersonal skills and desire to excel. The candidates must have positive attitude and be a team player but be able to work independently and take initiatives.
