Founded in October 2017 by the legislature-parliament, Rajarshi Janak University stands as a testament to Nepal’s commitment to advancing education, particularly in the Madhesh Province.The university’s establishment was formalized through the passage of a bill. Nestled in the cultural heart of Janakpur, the institution draws its name from the esteemed King Janak, a legendary figure in Mithila.

Rajarshi Janak University (RJU) invites applications for admission to undergraduate programs for the academic year 2082. RJU offers diverse and career-oriented programs under the faculties of Humanities & Law, Management, Science & Technology, and Engineering.

A. Faculty of Humanities and Law
1. Bachelor of Computer Application (BCA)
2. Bachelor in Mithila Arts and Aesthetic (BMAA)
3. Bachelor in Journalism and Mass Communication (BJMC)

Eligibility Condition for Admission:
+2 Level or Equivalent Degree with a minimum of 45 percent in aggregate or CGPA 1.8 on the scale of 4 having "D" grade in each subject.

4. Bachelor of Arts and Bachelor of Legislative Laws (BALLB)
Eligibility Condition for Admission:
+2 Level or Equivalent with a minimum of 50 percent in marks or a C+ grade from a recognized educational institute.

B. Faculty of Management
1. Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA)
2. Bachelor in Digital Business Management (BDBM)

Eligibility Condition for Admission:
+2 Level or Equivalent Degree with a minimum of 45 percent in aggregate or CGPA 1.8 on the scale of 4 having "D" grade in each subject.

C. Faculty of Science, Technology and Engineering
1. Bachelor of Information Technology (BIT)
Eligibility Condition for Admission:
+2 Level or Equivalent Degree pass in mathematics or computer science with minimum "C"grade and 45 percent in aggregate or CGPA 1.8 on the scale of 4 having "D" grade in others subjects.
Or, three years Diploma in second division or equivalent from CTEVT with Mathematics or Computer Science.

2. Bachelor of Civil Engineering (BE Civil)
3. Bachelor of Science, Computer and Information Technology (BSc. CSIT)
Eligibility Condition for Admission:
+2 Level or Equivalent Degree pass in Science stream (Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics) with minimum of 45 percent in aggregate or CGPA 2 on the scale of 4 (equivalent grade C) having "D" grade in each subject +2 Level or Equivalent Degree pass in Science/Agriculture stream (Physics, Chemistry, Biology, Mathematics) with minimum of 45 percent in aggregate or CGPA 1.8 on the scale of 4 having "D" grade in each subject

4. Bachelor of Science in Agriculture (BSc. Ag)
Eligibility Condition for Admission:
+2 Level or Equivalent Degree pass in Science/Agriculture stream (Physics, Chemistry, Biology, Mathematics) with minimum of 45 percent in aggregate or CGPA 1.8 on the scale of 4 having "D" grade in each subject
