The British College Nepal Presents Full Transparency Report to Education Authorities - What Has Changed

Kathmandu, Nepal - March 2026 :  The British College Kathmandu has submitted a comprehensive Transparency Report to the Ministry of Education, Science and Technology (MoEST). Submission of the report, which included information on the fee structure, marked a shift towards stronger accountability in governance, academics, and student experience.

The key changes that the college enforced following the submission include improved regulatory compliance, fully restructured internal auditing, and a student-centred approach.

What has Changed in The British College in 2026
One of the main changes can be seen in how regulatory compliance is handled. After The British College submitted the report, it implemented the 10-point directives adopted from the MoEST.

The college also submitted certified and transparent fee structures to eliminate hidden costs for students. One can also notice that the college has upgraded its internal processes. So, students can now benefit from reformed counselling, qualified faculty, and faster complaint handling.

As a foreign-affiliated institution, The British College Nepal has already taken the steps mandated by the government to maintain regulatory compliance. So, it is now working towards reforms to fully comply not just with the international standards, but also with Nepali regulations.

How the New Changes are Implemented
Following the submission of the report by The British College Kathmandu, the institution has made a number of changes to its governance, compliance, student experience, and reporting practices.

The British College Nepal has restructured its internal governance and auditing. The institution has overhauled its internal audit process. So, today, the college is able to ensure greater accountability. In relation to this, the principal said, “This report is not just a requirement, but much more than that. It is a declaration of our new standards. We have remodelled our internal systems, and are making sure that The British College remains a leader in quality education in Nepal”.

The college has also taken steps to ensure that not a single instance of non-compliance is faced. It took measurable actions immediately to meet, and even exceed, the standards set by the education authority of Nepal.

Student experience is another area in which The British College Nepal is trying to meet and exceed expectations. The institution has shifted its attention to student outcomes. In order to do this, the college is trying to foster a more transparent and learner-centric environment.

What Improvements Everyone is Talking About
Following The British College Kathmandu controversy, the institution has also publicly disclosed all fee-related information. Today, it is in a position where one cannot raise claims of hidden costs, thus resulting in better financial accountability for student services.

More transparency can be seen in financial dealings as well. The college has likely made changes to its internal controls and audit procedures, as contracts and payments are better monitored now.

The British College Nepal has also introduced more robust student feedback channels. So, complaints about student services and internships are addressed more promptly and transparently.

Verbal agreements regarding fees and internships are no longer considered valid. The college ensures that every agreement is well-documented to avoid future confusion, conflicts, or misunderstandings.

Maximum Transparency, Full Compliance
Overall, The British College has moved towards a completely transparent and restricted operational model. It has placed a stronger focus on compliance with Nepali ministry regulations, especially regarding program validity and student experience.

The submission of the transparency report to MoEST is reinforcing the dedication of The British College towards improved academic quality, student experience, and compliance.
