The British College Celebrates 10th Graduation Ceremony

The British College honored the graduates of Leeds Beckett University (LBU), The University of the West of England (UWE), and Keele University at the Graduation Ceremony 2024, which was held on September 27, 2024, at The Hyatt Regency Hotel.

This year, the College welcomed a total of 321 graduates from The British College and 45 from The British Model College, along with their families. Due to the large number of graduates, two ceremonies were held: Business students graduated in the morning from BBA, MBA, BHM, and EMBA programs, while IT students celebrated in the afternoon, completing their BSc (Hons) in Computing, MSc in IT, and MSc in Advanced Computer Science, along with a selection of A Level students.

The ceremony commenced with the lighting of the Panas, conducted by long-standing College advisors Mr. Michael Rutland, OBE, and Chairman Upendra Raj Sharma. Guests enjoyed a traditional dance performance and, for the first time, a speech delivered by AI in recognition of the innovative BSc (Hons) Computer Science - Artificial Intelligence program now available at TBC.

Rajen Kandel, the CEO, Founder, and visionary behind the College, officially opened the event with a welcoming address. He remarked, “This year, we are celebrating the global impact of TBC. It’s wonderful to see our alumni thriving in Australia, Canada, Europe, the UK, and Dubai. We have also initiated placements in Nepal and with our global partners, providing our new graduates with more opportunities than ever.”

This ceremony underscored our dedication to developing global leaders. Over the past year, we have been promoting international placements and expanding partnerships with schools worldwide, looking forward to enhancing global opportunities for both our students and alumni community, now including our new graduates.

The event featured inspiring speeches from distinguished guests, including the British Ambassador, His Excellency Mr. Rob Fenn, Deputy British Ambassador His Excellency Mr. Luke Beaumont, and Prof. Fergus Lyon, Advisor to TBC. Representatives from partner universities also addressed the attendees, including Professor Phil Cardew, Deputy Vice-Chancellor (Academic) of LBU, Jo Midgley, Deputy Vice-Chancellor of UWE, Dr. Mic Palmer, AHoD Partnerships in Computer Science and Creative Technologies at UWE, Bristol, and Prof. Dr. Daniel Reidenbach, Head of the School of Computer Science and Mathematics at Keele University, who welcomed the graduates into their alumni network.

The audience also heard from Deputy Principal Dr. Patrick McCrudden and student representatives from each school. Following the degree conferral, photo sessions took place, food was served, and the celebrations began. The ceremony was a remarkable celebration of academic achievement, international collaboration, and the bright futures awaiting The British College's Class of 2024.
