Bhaktapur: The Ministry of Education, Office of the Controller of Examinations (OCE) has fixed 1,836 exam centres throughout the country for the School Leaving Certificate (SLC) examinations scheduled for March 20 to 28, 2014.

According to Pralhad Aryal, Deputy Controller at OCE, 50 centres had to be added this year on the number of exam centres last year as the home centres have been done away with across the country from this year. The number of exam centres last year was 1,786.

He said the printing of question papers has been completed and they have been dispatched to the districts except the districts of the Kathmandu Valley. "The materials required for conducting the SLC exams including the question papers and answer sheets have been sent to the districts save those of the Valley," he said.

Deputy Exam Controller Aryal said 566 thousand candidates are appearing in the SLC examination this year.
