Kathmandu : Rajen Kandel, Group CEO of The Kandel Group, has been recognised for his exceptional contributions to education at a prestigious event held at the University of Greenwich in London. The ceremony, organised to celebrate distinguished alumni, highlighted Kandel’s efforts in making education accessible to diverse communities across the UK, Nepal, UAE, and Canada.

The event took place at the University of Greenwich’s historic campus, where Vice-Chancellor Professor Jane Harrington praised Kandel’s impact on global education. She stated, “Kandel’s commitment to connecting communities through his entrepreneurial experience and international expertise has empowered students to achieve their academic and professional aspirations.”

Kandel, who earned his BSc (Hons) in Computing from the University of Greenwich in 2006, has since built a remarkable career in education. In 2011, he founded The British College Kathmandu, one of Nepal’s leading higher education institutions, which has since expanded internationally. Under his leadership, The Kandel Group has established schools and colleges in multiple countries, focusing on bridging the gap between global education and local communities.

Receiving this recognition, Kandel expressed gratitude to the University of Greenwich for shaping his academic foundation and inspiring his journey in education. “It is an honour to be acknowledged by my alma mater. Education has the power to transform lives, and I am committed to ensuring students worldwide have access to quality learning opportunities,” he said.
