Nepal Rastra Bank Monetary Policy 2081-2082; Download Monetary Policy 2024- 2025 Nepal
The Nepal Rastra Bank (NRB) has published the monetary policy for the ongoing fiscal year 2080-81 B.S. (2023-2024 AD). The policy announcement followed a meeting of the NRB’s Board of Directors earlier this morning.
Governor Maha Prasad Adhikari presented the new monetary policy at an event in Baluwatar. According to Adhikari, the policy is intended to be flexible, taking into account the government's budget programs and the 16th development plan.
Monetary policy refers to the steps taken by a country's central bank to control the money supply for economic stability.Monetary policy strategies include revising interest rates and changing bank reserve requirements.
The Economic Research Department of NRB has incorporated suggestions from inter-departmental discussions and presented the draft to the management committee, following the procedures outlined in the monetary policy formulation guidelines.
