NEB Grade 12 Chance (Supplementary) Examination Result 2081-82: 9 November 2025
The National Examination Board (NEB), Sanothimi, Bhaktapur, has published the results of the Grade 12 Chance (Supplementary)  examination 2081-2082.

The Chance (Supplementary) exam of Grade 12 was held on Ashoj 7 and 8, 2082. The results have been published as per the decision of the National Examinations Board dated 2082/07/23.

According to NEB officials, out of 1,04,026 students who took the Chance (Supplementary) examination, 76,367 students successfully obtained grade in all subjects, resulting in an overall pass rate of 73.41 percent. According to the NEB, the results of four students were canceled.

4 August 2025: NEB publishes Grade 12 Result 2081-82
The National Examination Board (NEB), Office of the Controller of Examination, has published result of Grade 12 examination results 2081.According to the published results, 61.17% of regular students passed (received grades), while 38.83% did not pass (not graded).

The examination of Grade 12 began on Baishakh 21, 2082 (4 May 2025, Sunday) and ended on Jestha 2, 2082 (16 May 2025, Friday).

Last year, Grade 12 result was published on 2 August 2024 (18 Shrawan 2082 BS) . According to the last year results, over 52 percent of the students who sat for the exams passed and 47.09 percent of the students were non-graded( fail).

The Grade 12 examinations, which ran from 8:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m., were attended by 511,525 students. Of the total examinees, 395,908 appeared under the regular category while 115,617 were partial examinees. The exams was held across 1,591 exam centres across 77 districts.

Provincially, Bagmati Province witnessed the highest number of participants with 135,240 students, while Karnali saw the lowest, with 38,888. Other provinces included Koshi (82,871), Madhesh (69,808), Gandaki (43,349), Lumbini (90,678), and Sudurpaschim (50,654).

The NEB deployed around 2,000 staff, 20,000 security personnel, and adequate exam superintendents, deputies, and support staff across centres.

STATISTICS: Last Year: NEB Grade 12 Results 2080-81
The Grade 12 result was published by NEB on August 2, 2024, last year. The exams began on April 26, 2024 ( Baishakh 14, 2081). As many as 390,868 students attended the Grade 12 exams which concluded on Baishakh 26, 2081 (May 08, 2024). There were 1525 exam centres of all 77 districts for Grade 12 Exams. Over 100,650 took the exams for the grade improvement last year.  52% of students passed their Class 12 exams.

Out of 390,868 students under regular category, 9591 students secured between 3.61 – 4.0 GPA while 46,893 students secured 3.21 – 3.60 GPA. Similarly,  78,075 secured 2.81-3.20 GPA whereas  61,036 students have secured 2.41 – 2.80 GPA. Likewise, 8,240  students secured between 2.10- 2.40 GPA, 12 students secured between 1.61 – 2.0 GPA.  A total of 187,021 students failed to receive any grade and marked as Non-Graded (NG).

The Grade 12 exam was taken by students from 5,542 schools nationwide.

NEB Grad 12 Grading System
The NEB grading system is based on the Letter Grading Directive 2078, which specifies the criteria for passing and the corresponding grades. To pass the examination, students must score at least 35% on the theoretical portion of each subject. The grading system is intended to provide a complete assessment of a student's performance, with grades ranging from A+ to D.The grading system below ensures that students are evaluated not only on their ability to recall information, but also on their comprehension and application of knowledge.
