Kathmandu Metropolitan City, Education Department, has published notice regarding the annual academic calendar and examination schedule for the academic session 2083 BS. The notice applies to all community (government) and institutional (private) schools operating within the metropolitan area.

In order to preserve uniformity among the city's educational institutions, the Education Department has advised all school administrations to conduct academic activities and exams within the allotted timeframe.

Examination Schedule for 2083 BS:
1. Examination: First Terminal Examination    
- Stat Date: From Shrawan 21, 2083

2. Examination: Second Terminal Examination    
- Stat Date: From Mangsir 29, 2083

3. Examination:Annual Examination
- Stat Date: From Chaitra 17, 2083

Guidelines for Schools:
- Examination Time : Starting at 1:00 PM, all exams must be administered in a single shift.
- Winter Vacation: After the second terminal exams are over, schools will be closed for eighteen days of winter vacation, from Poush 13, 2083, to Magh 03, 2083.
- Resumption of Classes: Regular teaching and learning activities will start from Magh 04, 2083 onwards
