The Higher Secondary Education Board (HSEB) has published the results of Grade XI on Tuesday, with 40.38 percent students passing the exams in science, management, education and humanities streams this year.

According to HSEB, 114,019 students have passed the exams under regular category. A total of 282,359 students had sat for the 11th grade exams conducted in May, earlier this year. The pass percentage is up by 1.3 compared to the last year.

Under partial category, 51,525 have made it through out of 158,689 students, with the pass percentage standing at 32.47. Last year, 40 percent students had passed under this category.

"This year, more students have passed because the students performed better. We are satisfied with the result," said HSEB Vice-chairman Hem Kumar Mishra. The date of chance exams for those students who have failed in one subject has been scheduled for January 12.
