The National Examination Board (NEB), Office of the Controller of Examination has published result of Grade 12.

According to the results, 64.13 percent of the students who sat for the exams passed and 38.83 percent of the students were non-graded( fail). Out of 332,241 students under regular category, 17,786 students secured between 3.61 – 4.0 GPA while 64,821 students secured 3.21 – 3.60 GPA. Similarly,  94,249 secured 2.81-3.20 GPA whereas 50,557 students have secured 2.41 – 2.80 GPA. Likewise, 4,308  students secured between 2.10- 2.40 GPA, 9 students secured between 1.61 – 2.0 GPA.  A total of 100,471 students failed to receive any grade and marked as Non-Graded (NG).

This year, the examination of Grade 12 (2082) began on 14 Baisakh 2083 BS (April 27, 2026 AD, Monday) and concluded on 27 Baisakh 2083 BS (May 10, 2026 AD, Sunday)

The examinations, which ran from 8:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m., were attended by 4,18,800 students from 5,339 schools. Of the total examinees, 3,32,178 appeared under the regular category while 85,830 were partial examinees. The exams was held across 1421 exam centres across 77 districts.

Students, teachers, guardians, and other stakeholders can access Class 12  results via various official websites, SMS service providers, and IVR services.

1. via Websites
The Grade 12 results can be viewed from the following websites of NEB and Nepal Telecom:

2. via SMS
- Go to your Mobile Message Box
- Type NEB symbol number
- Send to 1600

3. via IVR
Call to 1601 from Landline or Mobile phone of Nepal Telecom and proceed based on the given instruction.

4. via USSD
In the mobile phone using the SIM of Nepal Telecom, type *1600# and proceed based on the instruction shown in the screen.

NEB Grad 12 Grading System
The NEB grading system is based on the Letter Grading Directive 2078, which specifies the criteria for passing and the corresponding grades. To pass the examination, students must score at least 35% on the theoretical portion of each subject. The grading system is intended to provide a complete assessment of a student's performance, with grades ranging from A+ to D.The grading system below ensures that students are evaluated not only on their ability to recall information, but also on their comprehension and application of knowledge.
