D.A.V. Business School Corporate Futsal Tournament 2025: Bridging Academia and Industry Through Sports
3rd August 2025, Jawalakhel, Lalitpur : D.A.V. Business School, in collaboration with the Human Resources Society Nepal, successfully concluded the 2nd Edition of the D.A.V. Corporate Futsal Tournament 2025. The four-day event, held from July 30th to August 2nd, aimed at fostering friendship, teamwork, professional networking, and promoting an active lifestyle among professionals and academics.
A total of 32 corporate teams representing various sectors, including banking, insurance, trading, IT, automobile, and manufacturing, showcased their sporting spirit and camaraderie. The tournament commenced with a preliminary meeting attended by team captains, managers, and representatives alongside the organizing committee, led by Mr. Rajesh Kumar Chaudhary, MBA Program Coordinator, who concluded the session with heartfelt gratitude.
The tournament opened vibrantly with a ceremony attended by notable figures. Mr. Tek Raj Sharma, President of the Human Resources Society Nepal, emphasized the importance of such collaborations in bridging academia and industry. Bharat Khawas, former captain of Nepal’s national football team, underscored the role of sports in achieving a balanced, healthy lifestyle. The official inauguration was conducted by Mr. Anil Kedia, Chairman of D.A.V. Business School, who highlighted sports as a powerful medium to unite professionals and build resilience.
Following intense competition through 32 league matches and 15 knockout rounds, the final match was a thrilling showdown between Dish Home Pvt. Ltd. and Code Himalaya Pvt. Ltd. Dish Home emerged victorious, securing the championship and a cash prize of Rs. 1,00,000, along with a trophy and medals. Runner-up Code Himalaya received Rs. 55,000, a trophy, and medals. Appreciation tokens were also distributed to all participating teams, sponsors, and officials.
The tournament received overwhelming appreciation, successfully enhancing professional networking, team spirit, and wellness among participants, who eagerly look forward to future editions.
