7th International Science Conference Concludes with Grand Success at DAV College

The 7th episode of 3-day International Science Conference, Kathmandu Chapter-2.0 completed with grand successes and grandeur at DAV College, Lalitpur on June 10. The theme of the conference for this year was 'Global Approaches in Agricultural, Biological, Environment and Life Sciences for Sustainable Future (GABELS-2024). The conference saw hybrid mode of participation, notably physical and virtual participation from 14 countries of the world.

Dr. Surendra Lal Shrestha, Executive Director of NAARC noted that was a great honour and pleasure to participate as the Chief Guest on such promising occasion. He appreciated the enthusiasm and joy of academicians from different fields of science and technology and noted that the conference would bring different issue that has to be solved to meet the need of present generation without compromising the safety of future generation.

The Chairperson of DAV College, Shree Anil Kedia wholeheartedly welcomed all the Science scholars of different levels at the college premises and extended best wishes on successful completion of the 3-day conference. He highlighted that the Kathmandu Science Conference stands as milestone in the field of agriculture, biology, environment and life sciences for sustainable future.    

In the same trait, the research papers that were presented as a part of global agricultural, wildlife and biotechnological issues were artificial intelligence and digital agriculture, role of nano-materials, global millets (shree anna), agriculture and veterinary sciences and technology including agri-business management and marketing.

The conference was organised by Agricultural Technology Development Society (ATDS) Ghaziabad, Uttar Pradesh, India in collaboration with DAV College, (Tribhuvan University) Lalitpur, Nepal.

A total of fourteen government agencies and research units including universities and colleges from Nepal, India and Bangladesh joined hands together as a co-organizers for the successful competition of this conference.  Similarly, the same number of collaborators institute from various states of India equally contributed in reaching the conference around the world.

All the delegates presented their research papers from theoretical perspectives to conceptual and empirical presentation clearly stating the objective, hypothesis, method, result and implication.

In this academic and research journey, five Journal publishing knowledge partners were also engaged.  In addition several oral and poster presentations were presented in the conference.

A total of 1617 Abstract   were presented in the session. Around on thousand were present, among them 650 were physically present and others were Connected virtually.

For oral presentation 365 people presented physically while 380 others made virtual presentation.

Likewise,  for poster presentation 280 people were physically present and 410 people made virtual presentation. The topics for both oral and virtual presentations were Science, Agronomy Genetics, Plant Breeding Microbiology, Chemistry, Biotechnology etc. in the long last.

The key organizing committee members were Prof. Dr. A. P. Garg was in the position of organizing Chairman, Dr. Joginder Singh in the position of secretary,  Dr.  S.P. Bista in the position of Managing Chairman and Co-convenor and Mr. Shashi Bhushan Chatturvedi from DAV in the position of  Co-convenor

During the conference a total of 24 categories of Global international conference Awards (ATDS, 2024) were bestowed to the deserving delegates. From Life Time and standing Achievements to Scientists, author, honorary fellow award to young academician and teachers were honoured for their immense contribution in different streams of knowledge.

In addition, 30 people as co-convener and 20 in organizing management and query committee also contributed for this mega conference.  

On behalf of organizing committee, Prof. Dr. A. P. Garg,  Chairman, offered vote of thanks to all organizers,  co-organizers, sponsors and participants and the spouses, volunteers, press, media, DAV College staff, Management and to people of Nepal in making a  event a grand success.

From DAV College, Ms. Richa Chaudhary, Mr. Sudip Adhikari, Ms. Shrilata Wagle, Ms. Anjana Chaudhary and Ms. Seema Adhikari immensely contributed for the successful completion of 3-day conference.
