Padma Kanya Multiple Campus, also known as PK Campus, established in 1951 (Aswin 2008 B.S.) has been envisioned as the Center for Excellence in education and research by imparting quality education, inculcating professional skills and capabilities, and contributing significantly to the field of education, research and development. The campus, located at Bagbazar, kathmandu, was established as the first women’s campus of Nepal.
As a constituent campus of Tribhuvan University, Padmakanya Campus has been established by the founders with the pious aim of imparting higher education to women to ensure their happiness as empowered citizens. The Campus which started with just a few Intermediate and Bachelor level programs in the humanities has expanded its academic horizon over the years. The Campus has played a significant role in women's empowerment through higher education.
Within the campus grounds, a variety of buildings have been created for classrooms, libraries, labs, and dormitories, as well as play-grounds.Five buildings on campus—two for conducting classes and housing administrative services, one for the computer lab and physical and virtual library, one for the 200-student girls' dorm, and a historic hostel building—moderately cover the campus's infrastructure needs.
