Course Description:

Tribhuvan University Bachelor of Science (General) (BSc) offers students a solid foundation in various scientific disciplines. Objectives of BSc General
The objectives of the Bachelor of Science (BSc General) TU course for students are as follows:
- Bachelor of Science (BSc General) make them well acquainted with the latest ideas, knowledge, Inventions, and practices in the theoretical and practical aspects of science and technology.
- To familiarize and give direction to them in the research and project works and make them understand its importance and applicability in the field of science.
- To generate passion and interest in them regarding further study and continuous learning activities in the field of science and technology.
- Bachelor of Science (BSc General) course provides a strong foundation for them to pass the postgraduate level entrance exam and develop efficiency to get employment at national and international levels.

Admission info

Eligibility/Criteria
1. Students should have passed I.Sc., +2 Science, A level or equivalent examination by taking at least 100 marks of English subject.
- For enrollment in the Biology group, students must have studied Chemistry, and Biology of 200 marks each and passed in the second division or score at least a final grade C in each subject. They should have passed other subjects and secure atleast GPA 1.6.
- For the enrollment in Physical Group, students must have studied Physics and Mathematics of 200 marks each and passed in the second division or score at least a final grade C in each subject. They should have passed other subjects and secure atleast GPA 1.6.

2. For those studying A-Level:
a. For those who wish to study in the Biological Group:
- Must have passed both Chemistry and Biology with a Final Grade D (with or without small letter).
- Must have passed all other subjects with at least a Grade E.

b. For those who wish to study in the Physical Group:
- Must have passed both Physics and Mathematics with a Final Grade D.
- Must have passed other subjects with at least a Grade E.

3. Foreign Qualifications:Those who have passed from international academic institutions must provide an equivalency certificate from the Curriculum Development Center, Sanothimi.

Entrance Examination Details
The BSc entrance examination consists of 100 Marks in an Objective/Multiple Choice format based on the Class 11 & 12 curriculum. The exam time duration is 2 Hours. There is no negative marking for incorrect answers. Students must obtain at least 35% to pass the entrance exam.

Group A: Chemistry or Physics

Group B: Biology or Mathematics
- Mark: 40
- Curriculum: Class 11 & 12

Group D: English Aptitude Test
- Mark: 20
- Curriculum: Class 11 & 12

Syllabus

The curriculum integrates strong theoretical foundations with structured laboratory sessions and research-oriented activities.

BSc general at TU is a 4 year’s undergraduate program that is being run on a year-wise basis. The total marks of the BSc. general is 2000 including theory and practical. In the first years of this program, students have to choose three core subjects from physical or biological groups. In addition to that, all enrolled students have to study scientific communication as a compulsory subject. In the second year, you have to study the same subjects that students have studied in their first year. This year, every student has to study applied statistics. In the third year, all students can drop one subject from their second year. Students from all the groups have to study research methodology as their compulsory subject. Pupils have to study two elective subjects from their respective faculty groups. In the fourth year, learners should choose two subjects from their major course. They can either select project work or applied science. One compulsory subject of the computational course. Pupils can choose one interdisciplinary course.

Bsc. General at TU is a very flexible program and pupils are allowed to choose any specialization according to their interest and their career goal. The fields in which students can specialize at TU are as follows:
