Course Description:

Purbanchal University offers a four-year, eight-semester course inBachelor of Geomatic Engineering (BE in Geomatic Engineering). This course is offered through the Faculty of Science and Technology. Geomatics engineering is another name for geospatial engineering. Geomatics engineering is a rapidly expanding field with enormous potential. This engineering is primarily concerned with spatial information, which is information that has a physical location. The primary feature that is used to combine various types of data required for information and visualization is the location.

Students in the BE Geomatic program will gain ideas, knowledge, and techniques for analyzing spatial data. They can investigate and collect spatial data about the earth, water, nature, natural resources, man-made features, and so on. Students learn how to design, develop, and operate the complex systems that are required for Geomatics engineering. They use advanced equipment such as digital theodolite, GPS, GIS, and so on to accomplish this.

Geomatic Engineering are highly qualified for the following sectors.
- Ministry of Land Reform and Management.
- Nepal Electricity Authority, Road Construction, Aviation Department
- National Security like Nepal Police, Armend Polish Force and Nepal Army

Admission info

Eligibility
Must have secured C+ Grade in all subjects in +2 or equivalent
OR
Candidates should have passed Intermediate in Science (I.Sc) or 10+2 or Diploma in Geomatics Engineering or equivalent with minimum 45% marks in aggregate. Candidates shall appear the entrance test conducted by Purbanchal University and qualify for admission who have pass the test for BE Geomatic Engineering.

Syllabus

The course include major subjects like Astronomy, Geodesy, Topographical and Land Resources Surveying and Mapping, Cadastral Surveying and Computation and Data Management. This course include 60% of theoretical knowledge and 40% of practical and field work knowledge.
