Course Description:

Pokhara University's BCSIT (Bachelor of Computer System & Information Technology) program is a four-year combination of Information Technology and Business Management. It teaches students how to analyze, design, develop, and maintain business systems. The program includes 126 credit hours.
By enrolling in BCSIT, you will gain exposure to current management concepts, critical issues, and best practices, while also honing your information systems and technology skills, which are required to develop a robust management information system.

This program focuses on database design and management, computer coding languages, marketing, accounting, electronic commerce, computer software, network administration, and resource management. Students learn how to encode, organize, analyze, and use computer systems and digital databases to solve problems and support a variety of business needs.

REQUIREMENTS
- Minimum 12 years of formal schooling
- CGPA of 2.0 (on a 4.0 point scale) or 45 percent grades (minimum Grade ‘C’ on individual subjects) in any +2 stream

Syllabus

The curriculum introduces you to current management concepts, issues, and practices, as well as improving your knowledge and skills in information systems and technology, which you will need to develop management information systems.

In addition, the curriculum allows you to choose two elective courses, totaling six credit hours, based on your personal interests and career goals. To graduate from the BCIS program, you must complete one internship, one major project (3 credits), and two minor projects (1 credit and 2 credits) in addition to the coursework.
