Course Description:

Pharmaceutical Science is a systematic natural science that focuses on life and nature through a synthesis of biology and chemistry. The University has prepared its curriculum mainly emphasizing on the Himalayan medicinal resources and research activities. The specialty of the curriculum is also the inclusion of specific disciplines like Immunology, Molecular Cell Biology and Analytical Chemistry apart from other general basic science subjects like Anatomy and Physiology, Biochemistry, Microbiology etc. Apart from the major disciplines of pharmacy education like Pharmaceutics, Pharmacology, Medicinal Chemistry, Hospital Pharmacy, Clinical Pharmacy etc; subjects related to the natural drug sources of the nation as Pharmacognosy, Natural Product Chemistry, Traditional Medicine are also included in the curriculum.

B.Pharma is 166 credit hours course spreading over 8 semesters. The curriculum has given special emphasis on,
