After completing SEE, there is an increasing trend of students from all over the country traveling to Kathmandu Valley to receive a high-quality education at various plus two schools. Edu Sawal, an online news portal, has published a list of 25 top schools in Kathmandu Valley for grades 11 and 12 to assist students and parents in finding the right +2 school.

Several criteria were used to select the top 25 plus 2 schools in the Kathmandu Valley. They are as follows: three years results obtained by students of various educational institutions in the class 12 examination conducted by the National Examination Board (NEB), the total number of students in the three-year period, the subject taught, the physical educational infrastructure, the achievements achieved by the students after completing their studies, the teaching learning achievements, the teacher-student ratio, the number of awards received in the competition,the school's training and consultation with experts regarding students' choice of educational destination after taking the SEE exam.

According to an Edu Sawal survey of students preparing for Grade 11 after completing SEE exams, St. Xavier's College and Global College of Management were the top choices among +2 Schools in the Science and Management Streams, respectively.
