Position: Chief Executive Officer (CEO)
NBI invites applications from highly motivated, dynamic, visionary, and competent individual for the position of Chief Executive Officer (CEO) on a contract basis to lead the Institute and drive its strategic growth.
Key Responsibilities & Terms of Reference
The CEO shall be accountable to the Board of Directors for the overall management, performance, and strategic direction of the Institute. Key responsibilities include:
- Strategic Leadership: Provide visionary leadership to NBI and implement Board-approved policies and strategies within the framework of NBI’s procedures, the Company Act, the Article & Memorandum of Association, and other prevailing laws.
- Operations & Financial Management: Prepare and submit annual budgets and business plans for Board approval; oversee academic, administrative, and financial operations; and ensure effective execution to meet performance targets.
- Governance & Compliance: Ensure strict regulatory compliance and high standards of good governance; mitigate risks by maintaining robust internal control mechanisms.
- Stakeholder Engagement: Strengthen relationships and engagement with BFIs, regulators, and national/international partners, representing NBI at various professional forums.
- Team Leadership: Foster high employee morale, motivate staff, empower teams, and delegate authority in a constructive and accountable manner.
- Reporting: Submit comprehensive institutional performance reports to the Board on a monthly basis.
Minimum Qualifications & Experience
- Education: Master’s Degree in Economics, Management, Banking, Finance or related fields.
- Overall Experience: Minimum of 15 years of relevant professional experience, preferably in financial sector.
- Leadership Experience: At least 10 years of experience serving in senior management position.
