COMPEX Scholarship Scheme for Undergraduate Courses from Embassy of India, Kathmandu

Embassy of India, Kathmandu invites applications for Undergraduate Courses under COMPEX -2025 Scholarship Scheme.

NOTICE
Embassy of India, Kathmandu invites online applications from Nepali Nationals for studying undergraduate course in Engineering (BE/B.Tech), Pharmacy (B.Pharma), Agriculture (B.Sc. – Ag.), Food Technology (B.Sc. - FT) and B.Sc. (Nursing) for the Academic Year 2025/26 in India.

The key dates for submission of online application are as under:  

IMPORTANT DATES
- Opening Date for On-Line Registration of Application: 26th June 2025
- Last date for Completion of On-Line Registration and submission of Application (Step-2) : 9th July’ 2025 (upto 11.45 PM)
- Last date for depositing application fee through Challan at Nepal-SBI Bank (NSBL) : 11th July’2025 (Closing of business hours)
- Last date for completion of Step-3 of On-Line application i.e filling details of Challan and uploading scanned copy of Challan and submission of complete application :13th July'2025 upto 11.45 PM

A qualifying/competitive Computer Based Test (CBT)/Examination will be conducted in different centers in Kathmandu in 4th week of July 2025 (tentatively) to select candidates for these courses. Admit Cards of eligible candidates may be downloaded from the Indian Embassy website: www.indembkathmandu.gov.in  three days before the schedule date of examination

Programs and Eligibility Criteria :
1. BE/B.Tech
Eligibility Criteria
60% marks in aggregate and 50% marks in English in Class XII (10+2) and at least 60% marks in each subject i.e. Physics (P), Chemistry (C) and Mathematics (M) in Class XII or equivalent to 10+2 CBSE standard  in India

2. B.Sc. (Agriculture)
Eligibility Criteria
60% marks in aggregate and 50% marks in English in Class XII (10+2) and at least 55% marks in each subject i.e. Physics (P), Chemistry (C) and Biology (B) in Class XII or equivalent to 10+2 CBSE standard in India

3. B. Pharm
Eligibility Criteria
60% marks in aggregate and 50% marks in English in Class XII (10+2) and at least 55% marks in each subject i.e. Physics (P), Chemistry (C) and Biology (B) in Class XII or equivalent to 10+2 CBSE standard in India.

4. B.Sc. (Food Technology)
Eligibility Criteria
60% marks in aggregate and 50% marks in English in Class XII (10+2) and at least 55% marks in each subject i.e. Physics (P), Chemistry (C) and Biology (B) in Class XII or equivalent to 10+2 CBSE standard in India.

5. B.Sc. (Nursing)
Eligibility Criteria
60% marks in aggregate and 50% marks in English in Class XII (10+2) and at least 55% marks in each subject i.e. Physics (P), Chemistry (C) and Biology (B) in Class XII or equivalent to 10+2 CBSE standard in India.

Note : Class XI marks not to be included

Selection Process
1. Selection will be based on a qualifying/competitive Computer Based Test (CBT)/Examination conducted by the Embassy of India. However, nomination of a name by the Embassy does  not guarantee admission to any Indian colleges/ universities for the above courses.  Confirmation of admission by the Embassy will be given only after receipt of the same from  the concerned Indian University/Institution.
2 Candidates who have already passed class XII or equivalent to 10+2 CBSE standard in  India may apply. Moreover, equivalent certificate from AIU New Delhi must be produced at  the time of admission. The selection will however, depend on fulfilling of eligibility criteria.
3. Candidates appearing in 10+2/12th standard Examination during the year 2025 may also  apply in anticipation of their results. Their selection will, however be, depend on fulfilling the  above eligibility criteria. Results of the qualifying examination should be made available to the Embassy within three days after publication of Class XII results failing which the  candidature is likely to be cancelled at any stage of selection process.
4. The short-listed candidates will be informed through individual registered email. They are advised to interact solely with the Education Wing, Embassy of India, Kathmandu.
5. Request of change of College/Institution/University after placement or transfer of  scholarship will not be entertained under any circumstances.
