For fiscal year 2080/81 (2023-2024), the Ministry of Finance has decided to maintain the same salary scale for civil servants as announced in the previous year's budget speech in 2079/80 (2022-2023). As a result, there has been no change in the salary scale of Nepalese government employees for the current fiscal year. Last year's Budget Speech increased the pay scale for government national service employees by 15%.

The salaries of first-class, second-class, and third-class secondary teachers have been maintained at 68,145, 61,737, and 55,337 rupees, respectively. Furthermore, the monthly wages for first-, second-, and third-class teachers at the lower secondary level are 58 thousand 94, 55 thousand 337, and 43 thousand 994 rupees, respectively. Furthermore, the primary level first-grade teacher's pay has been maintained at 55 thousand 337 rupees, the second-grade teacher's pay has been maintained at 43 thousand 994 rupees, and the third-grade teacher's pay has been maintained at 49 thousand 484 rupees.
