As part of its yearly admission examination program, Tribhuvan University's Faculty of Management administers the Central Management Admission Test, or CMAT. For admission to the following degrees at Tribhuvan University, the CMAT entrance exam is required:

> Bachelor of Tourism and Travel Management (BTTM)
> BBA (Bachelor of Business Administration)
> Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA)
> Bachelor of Hotel Administration (BHM)
> BIM (Bachelor of Information Management)
> BMS (Bachelor of Mountaineering Studies)
> BPA (Bachelor of Public Administration)
> Bachelor of Business Administration - Finance (BBA-F)

The CMAT(CMAT-Bachelor) Entrance examination is generally held in August / September after the announcement of the Grade XII result.

The CMAT exam scores the candidates on the basis of their knowledge/aptitude in verbal ability, quantitative ability, logical reasoning, and general awareness. The CMAT question paper is divided into four sections: Quantitative Technique (Quantitative Aptitude Section), Logical Reasoning (Logical Reasoning Tests), Language Comprehension (Verbal Ability Section), and General Awareness (current events). The 90 minutes CMAT exam consists of one hundred (100) objective questions containing twenty (25) questions in each section with a total weight of 100 marks. The students must secure at least 40% to qualify for the examinations. The colleges running the program shall conduct the individual presentations and interviews for selecting suitable candidates.

To qualify for CMAT Examination, various four sections of the syllabus of the CMAT question paper require intensive practice. Aspirants should begin working on previous year's question papers in order to score high on the entrance exam and gain admission to a good Management College.
