Nepali Army College of Health Sciences (NACHS) was with the mission of providing high-quality education at the certificate and diploma levels in various health-related disciplines, including Nursing, General Medicine, Pharmacy, Medical Laboratory Technology, Physiotherapy, and Radiography. Originally inaugurated as the Nepalese Army Institute of Health Sciences - College of Medical Polytechnic (NAIHS-COMP) by the then Chief of Army Staff (COAS) General Gaurav Samser J.B. Rana, the college was later renamed to reflect its current identity. NACHS is dedicated to cultivating a new generation of disciplined and skilled health professionals to make significant contributions to the nation’s healthcare sector.
Operating as a non-profit institution, NACHS is financed by the Nepali Army Welfare Fund and managed by the Nepali Army Welfare Planning Directorate. The college is committed to making quality education accessible and affordable for talented and diligent individuals pursuing careers in paramedical and nursing fields.
NACHS is well-equipped with modern facilities to support its educational programs. The campus features a reliable three-phase electricity supply with generator backup to ensure continuous power, well-equipped laboratories, a comprehensive library with ample resources, and a water purification system for a safe and clean water supply. Its location, just about 500 meters from the ring road, ensures easy accessibility for students and staff.
A significant asset of NACHS is its own teaching hospital, Tri-Chandra Military Hospital. This facility provides students with invaluable hands-on experience and practical training in a real healthcare environment, allowing them to develop their skills and knowledge effectively.
