Course Description:
Bachelor of Arts in Economics is a new subject being introduced in Kathmandu University under the School of Arts. Economics has applications in all fields of applied knowledge where decision making involves use of scarce resources.
Economics is crucial for guiding government policy and development decisions. Economics helps to address ways to deal with problems such as poverty, climate change, environment and human security.It has tremendous relevance, applications and utility at all levels-local, regional, national and the global.
It has increasing applications in all types’ private sector activities where study of markets, feasibility, profits, value chain, labor issues, and many others need economic analysis.

Eligibility:
Completion of +2 with 65% or more in mathematics, with a cumulative grade point average (CGPA) of 2.5 out of 4.0 or an equivalent of 50 percent marks in the latest degree acquired will be the basic criteria. Also, a strong performance in the entrance exam will be essential.
The entrance exam will test the candidate’s language proficiency and analytical abilities.
