Bachelor of Arts in Economics is a new subject being introduced in Kathmandu University under the School of Arts. Economics has applications in all fields of applied knowledge where decision making involves use of scarce resources.

Economics helps to address ways to deal with problems such as poverty, climate change, environment and human security.It has tremendous relevance, applications and utility at all levels-local, regional, national and the global.

It has increasing applications in all types’ private sector activities where study of markets, feasibility, profits, value chain, labor issues, and many others need economic analysis.
