The British School was founded in Nepal in 1966 AD by a group of British and Commonwealth parents who wanted their children to receive a British-style education. The British School offers an excellent education with a holistic approach, focusing on academic success, co-curricular activities, and community involvement.
The school is a member of the Council of British International Schools (COBIS) and the Federation of British International Schools in Asia (FOBISIA) as well as Quality Kathmandu Schools (QKS).
