Oxford College for Engineering and Management has been established by a group of educational experts, and professionals in the field of IT and management in the year 2057(2000 AD). However, this institute has been flourished in field of Science and Technology, Engineering Technology, Information Technology and Management Technology. It is affiliated with Pokhara University and has been running various programs BCA, BBA, BE (Civil Engineering, Electronic Communication-proposed). Computer has become a part of our life in the present century of globalization. Now the knowledge of computer is inevitable, say, like breathing.
The mission of the college is to work for achieving the highest level of excellence in the field of Computer Education so as to make them able to reward a quest for the professional excellence. On completion of study at OCEM, the students are believed to qualify to take up professional carrier in business, and public management. As an indication of progress the college is proud to announce that the students have been securing positions in the Examination Boards of Pokhara University. Although our strategy has been remarkably successful, we are not content to rest on our laurels. We are about to embark on a further review of our college strategy and objectives in the light of the progress we have made so far and the volatility of the environment within which we have to operate. In addition, the first batch output of the college has already been sent to market and they are occupying high positions in their professional practice. Key to our ongoing success will be our ability to evolve into an organization fit for purpose in order to meet the challenges ahead. The college is already responding successfully to challenges on a number of fronts. We see ourselves as a first class college with excellence teaching and a collegiate environment, and set our standards accordingly. Apart from the purely academic programs, the college has occasionally been involved in social welfare works as well. Blood donation, Relief work to flood affected people, are the instances. Extra curricular activities are considered as part of intellectual development. Various intra college and inter college sport competitions, grant of scholarship to poor, meritorious students are worth mentioning activities of the College.
