NIST Higher Education, located in Lainchour, Kathmandu, is a constituent entity of NIST Foundation offering world-class programs in Science, Management, Technology and Healthcare. National College (NC), National Model College for Advanced Learning (NMCAL), and National College of Food Science and Technology (NCFST), established in 1998 and 2007, respectively, offer various undergraduate and graduate courses, in affiliation with Tribhuvan University.

The college is dedicated to spreading advanced knowledge in Management, IT, Science, and Social Sciences to both undergraduate and postgraduate students. The college aims to nurture graduates who are not only academically competent but also capable, responsible, and socially conscious citizens.

NIST Higher Education has three colleges under it:
1. National College - BCA, BBM, MBS, BSc/MSc Microbiology. MSc Biotechnology
2. National College of Food Science & Technology (NCFST) - BTech Food
3. National Model College of Advanced Learning (NMCAL) - B Pharmacy
