Course Description:

Meteorology is the scientific study of the Earth’s atmosphere, with a primary focus on understanding and predicting weather and climate patterns. At its core, meteorology examines how atmospheric conditions develop, change, and interact with the environment over both short-term (weather) and long-term (climate) timescales.

Tribhuvan University BSc Meteorology, is a four-year program which provides comprehensive studies of climate, atmospheric science, thermodynamics, and optical phenomena like halos and rainbows, hydrology, and climate systems.

Objectives of Bachelor of Science in Meteorology
- To prepare human resources to contribute to national development in meteorology, hydrology, and climate science.
- To provide up-to-date knowledge reflecting on global trends and research
- To be able to find out the weather forecast, floods, aviation, and plan for climate resilience
- To study the impact on human health, tourism, agriculture, and infrastructure.

Eligibility
The candidate must have completed 10+2 or equivalent examinations with Minimum 'C' grade in all subjects to be eligible for admission in Bachelor of Science (B.Sc) in Meteorology program of Tribhuvan University.
