Course Description:

Four-year BA in English of Tribhuvan University encompasses and enhances developing students’ foundational knowledge of English literature per se, critical tradition, and interpretive practices. These courses help inculcate in them a spirit of inquiry, broadening their horizon of understanding and sharpen their critical thinking, and an aesthetic taste for appreciating literature, besides improving their communicative, analytical, research, and writing skills.

The students acquire in-depth knowledge of current global trends in English Studies. After the completion of the BA course in English, the students are expected to be able to provide a broad understanding of English literature, including lateral thinking for reading and writing critically about it. They will also be able to embrace and appreciate the core humanistic values like integrity, empathy, and respect for differences and cultural studies with researching, communicating, and problem-solving skills.
