Purpose of the Positions
Under the direct supervision of Nutrition Specialist (NOC), the incumbent is accountable for providing professional technical assistance and support for planning, measuring the impact of ongoing program, providing guidance on nutrition assessment and analysis and to advance result-based performance and accountability across nutrition section and its partners at the national and sub-national level.

Key Expected Results
> Key humanitarian information management products are identified to ensure their timely and period production to support UNICEF and its partners working in the nutrition section.
> UNICEF nutrition team is supported in organizing regular information sharing to ensure coordination between UNICEF and its humanitarian partners in nutrition.
> UNICEF’s nutrition partners contact list is updated and maintained regularly and linked with nutrition cluster.
> Nutrition cluster meetings are attended regularly jointly with Nutrition Specialist (Emergency) and key areas of information and knowledge management are identified for nutrition cluster as and when required.
> Closely worked with UNICEF and nutrition cluster partners on reporting sex and age disaggregated data in order to inform nutrition cluster analysis.
> Periodically collected reports from partners are streamlined and issues identified with ways to resolve them.
> UNICEF internal situation reports with emphasis on situations/achievements are prepared by providing relevant and up-to-date information.
> Regular inputs received from flood-affected districts are compiled for the national/sub-national level response/recovery outputs that include:
- Cluster meeting support material (e.g. maps, CMAM data);
- Support for bulletins/newsletter/dashboards for both UNICEF nutrition section and nutrition cluster;
- Nutrition cluster response matrix;
- Monthly/weekly summaries of nutrition activities for required SitReps and for programming;
- Provide 3W/4W  and other data as and when required for UNICEF and OCHA;
> Information flow between the cluster coordination team and cluster partners’ program are facilitated through data analysis, particularly in relation to identification of gaps geographically and programmatically.
> Regular monitoring visits/quality controls of partners’ reporting is undertaken to support the capacity building activities.
> Nutrition section is supported in partnership management including partnership documentations, quality control of partners’ reporting and donor reporting.
> Monitoring, evaluation and reporting on specific nutrition interventions carried out through various field visits, in a timely manner, efficiently, rigorously and transparently in compliance with the established guidelines and procedures
> Effective knowledge management through documentation of lessons learned.

Qualification and work experience
Education
Advance University degree in one of the disciplines relevant to the following areas: statistics/bio-statistics, Social Science, Nutrition and Food Science, Public Health Nutrition, Public Health, nutrition epidemiology, Nutrition in Emergency Preparedness and Response, or other relevant disciplines.

Work Experience
> Minimum of two years (2) of relevant professional work experience.
> Relevant work experience in the UN or other international development organization(s), and field work experience an asset.
> Background/familiarity with Disaster Risk Reduction, Climate Change Adaptation, Emergency and gender mainstreaming.
