Good Neighbors International (GNI) Nepal is an international non-government organization working in Nepal since 2002 with the objective of improving lives of people, especially children through education, income generating activities, health services, WASH, advocacy, network building and disaster risk reduction. GNI Nepal has been implementing its activities in 20 districts. GNI Nepal invites applications for the following positions:

1. Position: Officer – Finance, Head Office (one)
Job Description:
> Support financial management of GNI Nepal
>  Maintain complete set of books of account according to the principle of accounting and update it on daily basis
> Ensure implementation of general principles of budgeting, accounting and auditing
> Prepare the cash journal, book keeping, ledger posting & finance reports
> Ensure availability of all financial information for review by supervisor
> Review financial document of partner organization
> Guide partner organization in maintaining up-to-date information of the project
> Keep updated record of all financial transactions on the FAMAS

Job Specification:
> Bachelor Degree in management or relevant field with at least three years of experience in development organization
> Sound knowledge and experience in accounting and financial management
> Hands on experience of managing FAMAS
> Good interpersonal, communications, and facilitation skills
> Strong knowledge of Microsoft applications

2. Position: Assistant – Finance, HSRP, Nuwakot (one)
Job Description:
> Assist in maintaining complete set of books of account based on accounting principles and update it accordingly
> Ensure implementation of general principles of budgeting, accounting and auditing
> Preparing cash journal, book keeping, ledger posting and finance reports
> Keep track of incoming and outgoing invoices, travel claims according to GNI Nepal Finance Guidelines as well as Government law
> Help in keeping updated recording of all financial transactions on FAMAS
> Should have knowledge and experience on ETDS
> Assist in local procurement process as per procurement guideline
> Maintain office equipment, buildings, material and properties
> Assist in local procurement process as per procurement guideline
> Assist in inventory management and physically verify as per need

Job Specification
> Bachelor’s degree in accounting with two years of experience in relevant field
> Proven experience in administering project accounts
> Good computer skills including spreadsheets and database
> Good organizational skills
> Hands on experience of FAMAS is preferred
> Good knowledge of the English language along with writing and communication skills
